He was clearly awake and watching the swamp below. He would be happy to see a Bull Frog but most likely it is the Crayfish he wants.
He likes to sit on the side of this trail so it’s worth the walk… just never forget a full body bug spray treatment first.

These are the most common in the Lowcountry. They like to ‘talk’ and will ignore you if the swamp is thick enough for them to feel safe.
I am sure hearing them talk is pretty neat. The most common owl where I live is the borrowing owl. So instead of looking up, you’re looking down.
