There are thick Palmettos and Oaks here, a marsh meets a dike at this spot. The cover and dike means there’s always water, and small crabs.
We know they feed here so we stop and look. If you don’t take some time they stay invisible.

Around Bear Island if you see one there’s a good chance a few others are nearby.
I decided to keep these shots very crisp in spite of the busy background. Most times I would soften it a bit, here I wanted to keep it.
