Both birds wanted the same space. Out here that is rarely settled peacefully.

Strangely it was only a small amount of pushing. Ultimately they each ignored the other. Great Egrets are aggressive but that big ‘clapping’ bill made him think twice. An angry Spoonbill is loud!
