I think we are getting spoiled. There has been so much activity close to home we haven’t even considered going to the basin the last week.

The lower water levels have brought in more birds than usual. Places that were too deep in the past are perfect even for the smaller wading birds.

In the last two images a trunk between the marsh and river is much more exposed than usual with the shallow water.

I’m not one to shoot later in the day, however with the early sunset the light can be nice in many spots.
