The other day I published a photo of this Hawk, naming it as a Broad-winged Hawk (click here to view). And a caveat that I was having a hard time with the ID.
Below are two additional shots, different angels. Now I’m pretty sure it is a Coopers Hawk.

The head shape, face feathers, and chest tear drop pattern are more obvious here.

Stay tuned… who knows, at this rate I may update it as a Flamingo in a few days.
That was one of the species I was thinking about, but ended up dismissing it due to the head not being as blocky as I’ve come to expect. The tail seemed a little short as well (from what I can see). Again, I am not a hawk expert beyond those I know quite well so simply off the cuff observations.
We use Merlin app to ID if we are not sure. Merlin wasn’t sure either 😂😂
