Early morning marsh golden colors reflected in my shots for a long while. The colors are from the reeds and cane along the bank.

There were clusters of fishing White Pelicans, this bird and a few others off to the side just floating along. Much better subjects since this was where all the color was.

Whenever we find large flocks itβs exciting and we start blazing away at the shutter button. Itβs great. However, the best shots of the day are almost always the individual birds we capture.
The color on the water in the background came out really nice!
The early sun hits the reeds and cane making an intense golden hour. Thanks, and thanks for stopping by.
I stopped by your site and see you’re goal is shooting daily. A worthy one for sure.
Very nice, Ted. The reflections create such a nice contrast with the white of the pelican making for a beautiful and peaceful image.
Thanks ππ. BTW, what time do you get up?? Iβm heading out for first light, your comment says it was 2 hours ago π³π³. No wonder you get great dawn shots
π I am actually sleeping later now. For awhile Bentley was getting me up at 1:30 to go out. Now he stays in bed until I am ready to get up but that can be anywhere from 3 to 4. I’ve always been an early riser since I had a paper route in my teens. But I pay a price for that…going to bed around 8-8:30 so no MNF for me. π
We do get up early, keep a schedule so we donβt become complete slugs. Not that early though πππ. The best time to shoot is first thing as you have proved π.
