With the cold weather and activity close to home we had not been out on the dikes in the basin for a while. Turns out the Pelicans kept us so busy out there we almost skipped the walk.

However, we spotted pink hidden over the edge of a trunk as we were leaving.

It was a quick stop, peeked over the edge, and took a few shots like this. We backed out and were on our way.
