The only time a Roseate Spoonbill is the least colorful item in a photograph. Best viewed large.

We were lucky to have great clear days and took advantage of them. No sooner did we pack up and head for home… the rains came back. These marshes are not that far from the Lowcountry so the ‘weather app’ is a good (not perfect) guide for us.

  1. Great depth in that shot. I like the lone bird – for those that are familiar with the species it appears it is reflecting off the sky, very cool!

    1. Thanks. On this sunset we were lucky to catch both the color and multiple birds. I had a shorter lens mounted which at first I though to change, but the lens also allowed me to squeeze out more light. I went the rest of the sunset with a short lens…and hoped for the best.
