It’s dark, and not particularly pretty. However there are tiny fish and flowing water. So let the games begin.

I think this cut has an over flow pipe that let’s water circulate under parts of the rookery. Trees are being removed, and even some added, to help the ponds and wild birds.

Behind all this is the St. Augustine Alligator Farm. Yep. It’s actually a Florida tourist zoo.

The wild birds in the marshes found water, food, protection, and people can’t bother them. The back marsh and swamp are private land safe for nesting birds.

An odd win for nature.
