I seem to have shifted to publishing more marsh than shore photographs lately. Having seem Pelicans so often lately I didn’t want to lose any decent shots to the ‘old black hole’ of to do folders.

First are adults showing some of their breeding colors.

Next is a juvenile. I don’t know how old they must be to change their feathers and begin to breed. This one does look to be getting a lighter head.

All these shots were taken with my walk around lens, a Tamron 18-400. I grumble about this lens but then I hit good light and shots like these.
