I had several photographs, different species, from a marsh hanging about. Rather than my typical article style of a single subject/theme this is a mix up.

First is a mature White Ibis, not looking particularly good either. This is very un-Ibis like, maybe he was molting for the warm weather.

For me this next bird is a rare close up of a Whistling Duck. Earlier this day we found a few small flocks. This other group had one member ‘standing guard’.

Last is the ‘red plastic vinyl’ bird. A Common Gallinule. That beak looks the same as the 1960’s little girls handbags, doll shoes, and other cheap bright plastic wear.

A little bit like ‘candy corn’ for Halloween too.
