A Great Egret in a swamp,  surrounded by Cypress Knees.

I watched as this bird ever so slowly lowered his bill down to the waters edge. He was completely focused and eventually frozen in this position, waiting patiently.

He had landed behind me, I leaned out of my own spot in the knees to catch this shot. I went back to my own plans leaving him I disturbed. No end to the story, but a nice portrait.
