A few shots of a Great Egret performing a mating display.

A main part of the dance is for the bird to bow low, spread their bridal feathers, then bounce straight up tall. They repeat it a few times before looking around to see if they were noticed.

So far this year I have not caught a full dance out in the open. There’s still a little time, however photographing any dance is very cool.
Easier to be noticed in the open…and photographed. Still some very nice shots and especially of mating behavior.
Thanks. In the past I managed some nice full displays, some close. I think this year will be a miss. There’s always next year 😁😁. I have no complaints. The amount of things we can photo is amazing.
