I shot this series not knowing what to expect. There was no nest here and one bird was on a course to touch another. That’s a recipe for a good mid air chase and clash.

It turned out they were a pair, not drama. They just hadn’t gotten around to building a nest yet.

Still, it did make for some nice shots.
