Pansies ????

Taken in Hampton Park, Charleston, South Carolina. Once a plantation, a horse track, a grave for 200 union prisoners, site of the first US Memorial Day parade held by 10,000 former slaves, and a new cemetery named ‘Martyrs of the Race Course’ when 28 freed men buried the 200 union prisoners in a proper location with honors. (there’s so much more to this spot but I’ll stop here)
