Not often you get this many Wood Storks (and there were many others) feeding and staying in the same place all day.
I have no idea how many we photographed. There were several groups around.


These are all adult Storks. I may be wrong but I thought they would have been nesting by now. All the other big wading birds are.

Makes me think of how often we comment on the vast numbers of Woodstorks we have nesting in one of our local wetlands. You may have been there… Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Each year, they’ve been taking over more and more and more of the nesting tree space.
Not sure if we have been there. Here most all the stork rookeries are hidden away, which is great.
I never know when I will bump into them, when I do it’s an adventure.
