The Wood Stork’s habitat can vary, but it must have a tropical or subtropical climate with changing water levels. ACE Basin fits that perfectly.
Not that long ago any information you found had the birds breeding range only as far north as Florida. Even now (I just did a search) that’s all I found. Times have changed quickly, and for the better with these guy’s. Around 15 miles away there is a private swamp filled with stork nests.


Not the prettiest critter, but spend a little time watching them and you’ll find just how fascinating they are.
