I’ve written before about Anhinga wanting the softer fresh sticks for nesting. Also I’ve mentioned their lack of balance in trees.
It came together here. In this small series you can see the bird struggle in the first two photographs. He also did manage a tiny green twig.


Below it all fell apart. View large and you will see the moment the fresh prize slipped away.
