There was an old children’s puzzle, in magazines, ‘Which one is different’. It could be an illustration of a dinosaur in the middle of 50 penguins. I’m not sure what purpose it had, maybe cull the herd in grade school, who knows. I do remember it clearly though, and shots like this instantly bring it to mind.

So bummed I missed the Wood Stork in our recent quick run through Florida. Apparently they were all hiding here.
Next time in Florida consider St. Augustine. They nest behind the Alligator Farm there. The Farm is a place that has, and raises, Alligators. For years I didn’t consider it because of the name. Well… they have built a boardwalk behind their main property that runs through the middle of one of the most active rookeries in Florida. How active, wear a hat and bring a short lens.
