This time though, only enough to get the bridal feathers flowing. Slight Breeze, Great Egret Share this:TwitterFacebookLike this:Like Loading...

Those feathers!! 🤩🥰🤗
I had no idea how nice the Egret would look when I shot this. I admit to maybe not paying enough attention to them… we live here 😂
I like what the breeze did to the Egret. It looks slightly disheveled and lovely 🙂 Fantastic shot!!!
She might have chicks nearby, that would do it. LOL
I would love to see these birds with their bridal feathers, we are on the gulf coast right now enjoying spring migration of the song birds. But the egrets are not dressed up yet with their beautiful flowing feathers. We are leaving in two weeks so I might not see it here again. 🙂 but I enjoy seeing your photos of them.
You should be seeing some on the gulf. They are a few weeks earlier than SC
Wow, those feathers!!
This one worked out LOL
Nice shot! Fortunately the fashion industry no longer salivates over those plumages.
Sketches by Audubon helped creat awareness to save these birds. Audubon did work right in this swamp, his wife was a cousin to the plantation owners. They plantation now calls this the ‘Audubon Swamp’. The society tried to get them to stop using the name, however being a family member they have every right to use it.
