This rookery tree is on a small island in this swamp. It’s not alway easy to get a clear shot, however we always try when something is happening. In this case one of the adult Great Blues returning to the nest.

I know I’ve said this before but the big Herons are one of the few birds that seem genuinely ‘happy’ to see their mate return.
