I think more often than not photographs of these Ibis lose most of their color. They can look almost black. The right light and they are iridescent.

I think more often than not photographs of these Ibis lose most of their color. They can look almost black. The right light and they are iridescent.
Glossies have such a pretty sheen on them – you are right though, like hummers, if you don’t catch them at the right angle to the light they look a bit drab. Nice shot.
It seems I only get the sheen in shots from Fl salt marshesš¤£. Thanks.
