That Time Of Year, Anole

That Time Of Year, Anole

It may seem like an odd place to sleep however I think the idea of resting only horizontal is not a thought. There are times upside down works  for him best.

Below, I may have woken him.

Every summer the Anole population explodes. Being lizards, no filters in life, we see it from start to finish…literally.

Another batch of babies has claimed our porch. Ellen is making good use of her macro lens. A close shot is needed since they show up covered in dirt from where ever they hatched at less than an inch nose to the tip of the tail.

For now we must creep out the back door very slow, examine each step, and never sit without looking down.

  1. As you know, we do not get the Anole up here, which in hindsight is probably a good thing as Linda would probably go into hysterics if she saw all those on our porch ha.

    1. I’ve started to practice
/exercise my bad camera hand with these guys each morning. It’s a bit of a circus now. They sleep anywhere (handle of a fly swatter, under side of potted plants, etc. My wife has to ‘tap out’ her muck boots each morning before putting them on her feet…😝. As I type this I see at least three babies bug hunting around the screens.
