I think of the alligators near the plantations, and populated places as ‘city gators’. Everybody knows the rules, keep their distance, and all is good.
Than there’s the ‘country gators’. Bigger with an attitude.

We went out early today, predawn, to beat the heat. Birds were hiding, but there are always the big locals. Today was an alligator day.
