While walking along the side of a small swamp / pond area a Great Egret flew in landing directly in my path.
I watched and waited expecting the bird to leave just as suddenly. He stayed. I went for the shot. I didn’t get the shot. In fact he was too close for my lens. My only option was on the exact other side of where he was searching.

Getting this angle meant I had to pass right by the Egret, without looking at him, to shoot. I’ve found having no eye contact when too close works with some birds. Neither of us wants to be close, it actually works.

Egret is transparent! And I really like it .
Exceptional images of Great Egret.
Thanks you
Great work, to capture the image without looking at him!
thanks
