Several shots here taken on a day the Great Blue Herons cooperated nicely.
These photos (and a previously published image) are from the initial catch of what looks like a young Tarpon. It was a decent sized catch. Tarpon are big game fish usually caught in Florida. They also live in the inlets here until old enough to spawn, at which time they move south.

The Great Blue made a diving catch, and grabbed the fish.

Once the bird was sure he had the fish he walked over to the dike and held on tight. Surprisingly he didn’t do anything but hang on for the longest time.
