I don’t often get the Eagles doing anything but sitting around, or flying a mile high. This year a local mated pair have been actively moving around, and returning, to their marsh look out tree.
Great timing, Ted, to capture that moment of the takeoff. It seems like eagles generally push off from their perches with extended wings before they flap the wings–that takes the kind of coordination of body parts that was much easier for me when I was younger.
