At some point these Turtles (and the Alligators) will find a hole to tuck up in for a few weeks. They don’t hibernate, but they do sleep like a rock for a while. What’s the difference? No clue, maybe something to do with warm bloodied mammals and cold blooded reptiles.

We have been out in the swamps and plenty of Turtles are still around. Look close above and you will see another one’s nose breaking the surface.
