I feel I still have a lat to learn about these creatures. I have definitely learned to give them their space over the year – translated, be a lot more attentive to where they might be out in the field. This year at Sweetwater (Gainesville, FL) was the first time Linda and I have ever heard them bellow – amazing.
If you are close enough when they growl you can see the water vibrate from it. When one growls (a profile) others answer the challenge. Fun when you see one growl and then another answers right behind you 😂😂.
