Two Spoonbills here that looked to have walked away from the crowds.
On the other side of this mound in the marsh birds were still joining the flocks. Most of the new comers were Wood Storks. Unlike the Spoonbills they fly very high, gliding on the wind. When spotting a flock below feeding they can make a line and slip in one after the other.
These birds went out on their own to a less busy place to fish. One close to a dirt road where it’s easier for us to walk too also.

Aren’t they great 😊. And they still look so pristine!
The mud just rolls off their feathers. 😆
