The Great Egret also has their own classic pose. They will strike that pose where ever they feel like it.

Here she is hitching a ride on the back of a boat.
Taking landscapes photos like these is frustrating. Each image has so many points of interest, colors, and textures the final photograph can look confusing unless enlarged.
Reflections in the lakes probably could be changed in development but that’s not what is actually there to see.
I do like to shot these so I’m pretty sure these won’t be the last like this.
The retired USS Yorktown, World War ll aircraft carrier.
This is the 4th US Navy ship to carry the name. Originally built as the Bon Homme Richard but renamed during construction to commemorate the previous ship just lost in the battle of Midway.
The Yorktown server in WWll, Korea, and Vietnam. Was an Apollo space craft recovery ship, and finally retired in 1970.
Charles Pinckney was a principal author and a signer of the United States Constitution. He was also a Governor of South Carolina, Senator, and member of the House Of Representatives. Over all a pretty busy man.
These are not my usual landscape photographs. I will rarely take an image like this because there are almost always people in the way. Not here. No people, no trash cans, no cars, nothing!
A beautiful old home. All mine for this moment.
This will be one people either like or really really not……
This is a large tree covered in Spanish Moss. It was in a lake right off a swamp. In the tree is a Great Blue Heron. Floating in the water a pair of Alligators.
The photo has a little bit of everything, including a dark blue filter.
Why the filter? Swamp photos are just really busy, this one more than most. I experimented with a green and blue filter.
And here it is.
