Morning sun reflections can change a drab image into something a little more interesting.

If there wasn’t a cypress tree here to give character this would be a certain delete. Just enough here to be a keeper.
Some landings are soft and smooth. Others more like a controlled crash.
For some reason they like to land right in the middle of all the others. Of course those others, not so happy at times.
Still this one ended well, maybe even better than some.

This Spoonbill wanted to get a little lower on the tree. There also wasn’t room for error. Other birds were getting a little angry at each, and losing your place here could be a problem.
He very carefully inched down to the next branch. Very slowly too.

This is completely out of character for us. Yet there is something about animals like this that makes me want a portrait type shot. Perhaps it’s because we didn’t have any of these critters growing up in NYC.
One of the things I find striking is they actually have a beard in real life. I thought that was the stuff of nursery rhymes.
