I Walked Around Him, Vulture
He really didn’t want to move, a comfortable spot.
We gave him as much space as possible. He was OK with that.

Kodachrome Coots
A tiny slice of the raft of American Coots we followed the other morning.
Best viewed large.
I have wider, more distant shots yet to be loaded. An amazing number of Coots were here.
I tried something different in the finishing, applied a Kodachrome film filter.
Sunset Lighthouse
Too dark to shoot any wildlife, went for sunset instead.

The background here was water, sun glare water. Yet the bird came out OK.
From a Florida marsh, not sure where since our memory card reader was acting up. Days of shooting were combined on a single card.
By Candle Light, Again
A few days ago I published music stand photographs from an old Charleston home. All children in the wealthy families learned instruments. Click here to see the first music stand.
Visiting a different old house I spotted this in the corner of an entrance way.
Again candles provided light to the sheet music.
Both homes were from the early 1800’s owned by Charleston planters and traders.
A Fishing Spot, Egret
The trunk here was open enough to have the water moving back and forth under the dike as the tide changed. Moving water also pulls along small fish.
This guy was just waiting for a meal to be delivered.
Fuji Color Critters
The photograph here was finished using a Fuji film filter.
Fuji color gave that extra ‘pop’ in the background, the trees lining this marsh.
Great Egret and Double-crested Cormorant sharing a dead branch.
Note; Long time NYC street photographer Keith Goldstein (Keithgoldstein.me) brought up the fact that a number of years ago when working for Image Bank Fuji confirmed their film had increased saturation by design.
