One of those photographs where you have a brief moment to catch the image – or not.

Considering the light, lens used, and time of day it didn’t turn out half bad.
I forgot to check the settings of my camera for this photograph. This morning I needed some multi-image HDR shots. When I touched the shutter later the camera it just started taking shot after shot.
I have messed up things enough times to have learned to go with the flow now.
Processing in Lightroom I decided if it wanted HDR, it would get HDR.
This photograph is as much about the full landscape as it is the distant Swan. The reflections and the water trail made by the Swan caught my eye on a really dull day.
The cove here was glass like. For some reason everywhere we went the water was very calm. I guess that made up for the flat skies.
Recently we visited a number of small lakes, ponds and marshes to take advantage of the unusual sun and warmth.
When the sun went behind clouds the scenery was brown. When it came back, the colors were dazzling. This blue was actually lowered so the island and trees weren’t completely over shadowed.

This is the first I have finished. I hope the others are at least close to this.
