These birds flew up and down the piers working the ships. When tired, or not hungry, they flopped down somewhere and took a nap.

Yellow-bellied Sliders

If numbers were the deciding factor these guys would own the swamp. They are everywhere, in all sizes. Some are big, really big. I think they are the last choice for an alligator meal. But the smaller ones, well you get it.

The old platforms can be covered with them. It’s so common we tend to look past them now.

We do notice when they climb or balance in odd places.
