I captured this Great Blue just after he had found this water snake. The snake had been ‘dispatched’ by now.
The real story here is all about location. I found this exact photograph, snake, and Heron on-line a day ago. The photographer was someone I know from on-line (and we are shooting together next month).
Apparently we were in the same spot within minutes of each other. I also noticed another series from nearby, by a different photographer I have met.
The South Carolina lowcountry, south through the Georgia and Florida coast is some of the best wildlife habitats in the world.
If you are lucky enough to live, or visit here, you will see an amazing world.
Also I believe there are more talented and professional photographers here than any other place else.
Both you and Ellen are so fortunate to live in that part of the country with its variety of wildlife and beautiful landscapes. A treat to view!
We are. Any move, especially as far as we did, is always a little daunting. It turned out to be a great choice.
Ted, I’m putting together a “Here’s the Catch: Predator and Prey” post. Is it ok for me to use the above photo; also one of your dolphin/fish photos, specifically 1o2a7734-edit-2-7.jpg and I’ll link back to the post which has a whole gallery of the sequence. Cheers, Liz
Thanks, as always use as needed. Thanks again, Ted
This is such a great shot, Ted!
🙂 they will hunt about anything. Thanks
