
This time of year Fritillary and Cone flowers are out and about everywhere. For the most part I pass them by, only because I use long lens and getting them in focus requires walking ‘away’ from them.
Each image here contains a single flower stalk rather than the bush or planted beds.
The color variation on a petal, natural shade, or even the slightest bit of wind changes the way the entire image displays. Photographing wild life is fast and little time for composing.
Here it’s more of a deep breath and steady hand.
I have read on the different methods people use and I might be finally finding a style of photo I prefer more than others.
