This is a baby Red Slider turtle. I took the photograph because he was so small, just a little head sticking up from the Duck Weed.
But look behind him. Those are his long clawed toes.
There’s a shell somewhere in between. How did he do that ?

He looks long and claws are strong. I enlarged this terrific picture to study eyes. They are very interesting!
They grow to be fairly large. This size they are prey and hide most of the time.
