The final article in this series is a group of photographs that I thought displayed how unique this scene was.
Large numbers of Alligators, and in very close proximity to each.

Above is when they started to move in on the open flowing water.

The fish were jumping over the Alligators (above) and that’s about when the bigger ones all wanted to be right in front of the open dike. The fish were much faster than the Alligators, getting closer was obviously needed or they would never catch anything.

This may be only the second time I have seen large scale hunting like this. I know documenting these animals is not everyone’s favorite subject, I just can’t help be fascinated by them.
