A friend called out to me, several times, but I was busy with Great Egrets.
When I finally looked over he pointed behind me.

So close I had to pull the lens back to the minimal length.

I have no idea how long he was sitting there, but it was probably a while.

I should know to look behind me too. This is a swamp, all around.
Good thing a friend was looking out for me.
Wonderful detail. A good reminder too!
The reason I know to look back behind at that spot is not due to Hawks π. Because all the open water is in front, thatβs the place to photograph…until a gator casually walks by coming from behind πππ
Great shot Ted!
Thanks. This year we have pairs all over the swamps.
