I found this bird alone in what had been a small Heron rookery. Until last year this area was filled with breeding Herons and Egrets. No one came last spring.

Without the intense competition there might be easy hunting here.

This points out the issues that pop up. When I come across a scene that has potential I shoot, reset, and shoot again. Sometimes walk away and come back.

This gives me way too many photographs at times, and the images may not be in sequence on the memory cards.
