Taken in a swamp, inside a very large Wildlife Management Area this Heron had zero tolerance for people. There must have been a dozen birds however this was the only shot available through the thickets.

We knew Black-crowned Night Herons gathered here, never had a shot before.
The image below was developed a little different than the first. It’s a little warmer in colors with grain.

Early morning fog and no light had the RAW, unfinished shots fairly dark. Shooting at a slow speed made most of the attempts blurry. It was the only way to get anything though.
