A male and female Anhinga, side by side. The male has the all black neck, female the brown colors. She is not a great example of the female coloring but you get the idea.

Also the male here has the breeding red eyes and jade eye circles.

Their beak is sharp, like a sword. It’s used for spearing fish and fighting with other birds.
