Story In Two Parts

Each of these photographs tells a story. By themselves it’s one thing, seen together it’s completely different.

Above is a Lowcountry swamp. Typical green waters, Cypress roots, and of course the ever present Alligator.

However…

Viewed in the same article they have a different meaning.

That Owl was hunting when an unwelcome visitor came by. He sat silent and watched the Alligator circle below.

The Alligator walked up to the waters edge, jumped in and swiftly swam under the Cypress Trees, and waited. Each knew the other was there. Both watched the photographer also.

Ultimately the Alligator left, the Owl grabbed a frog, he left to feed young.

The photographer stood there waiting for something to happen…by himself.
