The agility of fishing Black Skimmers has always amazed me, big swallows that swim with their bill in the water. But here I watched them take it up a notch.

Hundreds of Wood Storks filled the marshes and canals. There was also just about any marsh bird you could name feeding with them.

The Skimmers flew around and between all of them. At their usual high speed of course.

When they found their way blocked it was a simple mid air U turn.

I have only seen them speed through giant flocks once before. It is very impressive.
There are only two cameras I know of that can keep up with this type of action. Canon and Nikon are discontinuing the models, ‘camera sales of the high end bodies like these are not enough to support them, and offer new mirrorless cameras’.
I think a lot of working dedicated nature photographers will be taking a long look at any new Sony offerings.
