The juvenile Tricolored Herons have stepped out on their own. I’m guessing this was a good year for them. At several of the wildlife areas they were everywhere.

Most played it safe and kept to the edges of the tall reeds and cane. However, Ellen took another trail and came back with photographs of several in the open.

We will go out to the management areas together but we will walk different shorter trails if there is cell phone coverage.
