This is probably the first Anhinga photograph I’ve had in a few months. I’m sure they have not gone anywhere yet, maybe just bad timing on my part.

I’m not sure if they migrate away or not. I do know they can shift from the swamps out to open marshes in the summer.

This bird was out in the Bear Island WMA area, open marshes, last week.

She was drying her wings and I guess this was the most dry location, with a steady foot hold.
