But just by the size of his snout it was pretty clear how big he was.

Often easy to miss when covered with all that plant life!
Oh yes, we are pretty careful and usually see them.
We left Charleston this morning although I didn’t see an alligator there I did see many at Kiawah Island yesterday! Scary guys!!
The old plantations have plenty, and the coast just outside Kiawah (the ACE Basin marshes) have tens of thousands. Scary, but keep away from people.
Well I like to keep away from them!!!
