A ‘fly by’ set here where the Heron could not have been more cooperative.
This same bird is most likely to be one that is getting ready for spring nesting in a nearby swamp.
Besides getting nice in flight series shots in this spot it’s great practice.
When the nesting and breeding gets going these birds will be flying fast and all around us. Every spring I’m reminded how rusty my shooting gets over the winter.
The last two shots caught the ‘surface touch’ of the wing. Maybe not as rusty as I thought LOL.
I missed so many nice shots of flying herons, Ted. These photos are so beautiful and so masterfully taken!
