Except here. In Tampa, you can see them right off the boardwalk at Lettuce Lake Park. You can get within 2 feet of them and they are not fazed. Quite unusual really. 😊
There have been a few like that in a swamp by my house too. But other than that shy here 😀

I caught the male at the right time. I never see this either. Even in these shots they were inside thick cover. Thanks.
